Lately I have been feeling discontent. Which is very uncharacteristic for me, because I am one of those, “grow where you’re planted” types. The weird part is that the direction I am feeling led to is miles away from what I know. Uncharted waters if you will. The feeling that’s beginning to build inside of me has that tinge of excitement that comes when delving into something new. Coupled with that feeling of uncertainty that comes from the unknown. Here’s my dilemna, I am a planner. Planner’s don’t move without a plan (makes sense, no?). I have no plan just this thing inside of me that’s saying, “step out”. Planners DO NOT just step out (that’s just crazy talk). So I am struggling with myself, and ultimately with God (whom I genuinely believe is leading me). Today as I once again sat fighting (in my head), God reminded me of His faithfulness. I have not once been disappointed when going in a direction that He led me to. So I am thinking about making a true leap of faith. I am petrified, but super excited at the same time. Here’s to adventure on the journey.

“The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9, NAS).

So what am I thankful for today? New directions, new paths, and new adventures.
