Do you have insecure days? Today for some reason I have been feeling insecure, a feeling of impending doom has been lurking around my atmosphere. I know that there really is nothing wrong, but somedays my emotions and mind just get the better of me. This use to be a regular everyday occurrence, but lately I have grown in confidence and understanding of who I am and whose I am. I belong to God. I trust in His love for me. I trust that He has my best in mind at ALL times. So when doubts and insecurities come, my hope is firm.  On this journey there will be days of doubt. They will be moments of forgetting who you are. These moments can knock you down and throw you off course. Relay on what you know to be true, God loves you and has a plan. You are created with a purpose. Use these moments of fear as a chance for growth, a chance to strengthen your resolve. A chance to dig in and find who you are meant to be.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:10, NLT).

So what am I thankful for today? Moments of doubt, they help me to hold on to what I know.

  1. Wow. I’ve been having a few insecure days myself lately and this is such a great reminder that it is during those times of doubt that I learn to lean on Christ’s truth about me the most. Awesome post!

    • Your comment makes me smile, because I wasn’t going to share this today. In fact I was trying extra hard not to. But there was such a burden…I guess God knew you needed a little encouragement, too. 🙂

      • Yes! I’ve had a few of those moments myself when I didn’t feel like sharing something but I did and it ended up encouraging someone at the end. 🙂 If God’s putting something on your heart there’s usually someone out there who needs to hear it!
