It’s storming outside right now. I am a little weird in that I like storms, I like rain (unless I am driving, then not so much). I get this mental picture of God cleaning house, washing away filth when it rains. Have you ever noticed how greener everything is after a storm? Colors are more vibrant even the air smells cleaner. The storms that I have experienced in the last few years have helped to make my direction clearer. In the midst of the storm the path was tumultuous, dark and foreboding. But after the storm the sun shines brightly and illuminates the path we need to take. Tonight as I nestle in my bed writing my blog, and listening to the rain fall. I look forward to the world tomorrow (post storm). I look forward to brightly colored flowers, green grass, and the “smiling” sun. I look forward to the rainbow that speaks of a promise that God is always making good on.
“I have placed My rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of My covenant with you and with all the earth” (Genesis 9:13, NLT).
So what am I thankful for today? Falling rain washing away the grime of the day.

That’s a good way to look at it. Yes I do notice how everything looks clean after a storm. I love rain. It makes me feel so peaceful listening to the raindrops.
I love rain too. š
Driving home from picking up my daughter from work tonight, we saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky. I tried repeatedly to get a good picture, but to no avail š But I love these reminders that God gives us. They turn this š into this š – happy.com!
happy.com…I like that. I love rainbows. They remind me that He loves me!
