Right now I am at Universal Studios (literally). It has been both a fun and exhausting day. I have walked through a Dr. Seuss book, fought off evil wizards, and saved the world Transformer style. But today I also have conquered a fear. A fear of falling out of my seat on the dreaded HULK. I really do like rollercoasters (within reason), when they just move up and down. But when they make my feet dangle in mid-air and throw me about like rag doll, well, I take issues with that. Here’s what I learned today: Looks can be deceiving. After I got on and had the intial drop it was all gravy. The fear went away. Why? Once I knew what to expect the fear no longer had a hold on me. Same is true in life. We couquer fear simply by taking “the first step”. After you start walking fear disappears. Why? Because you know what to expect. Don’t let fear keep you in and lock you down. Step out and face your HULK
“Do not fear for I am with you” (Isaiah 41:10).
So what am I thankful for today? Conquering my Hulk.

I remember when I didn’t have the fear when my daughter was growing up and we were with loved Dr. Seuss.
