Some days you get a coffee shop all to yourself…and all’s right in the world.

It was a simple day. I love days like today. Why? Because it reminds me that God looks after the simple things. We (humans) sometimes have a false view of God. We see Him as the “Big Gun” the One we call on when all hope is lost. But what we fail to realize is  that the big things become big because we don’t allow Him in when they are small. Today I got a lot of work done. Today I had a great lunch with a friend. Today I smiled, I laughed, and was at times frustrated. It was a simply, normal, no big drama kind of day. Topped off by a trip to my local Korean market, to stock up on my favorites. On this journey some days you just get to chill and enjoy the scenery around you. Enjoy them…God’s good like that.
“The LORD gives strength to His people; the LORD blesses His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11).
So what am I thankful for today? Moments of peace.
You are so right. Sometimes we just need to chill, and leave the rest in God’s hand.
So very true. I am slowly learning this. I should completely have the lesson down by the time I am 5 billion years old. 🙂 Thank goodness God is gracious.
It’s a wonderful thing to find oneself “kicking it” with the Lord – nothing major going on. Today is one of those days for me! It’s been a while; I’m going to enjoy every moment. 😉
