This morning my devotions lead me to Hebrews 13. Here is the verse that stood out, “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account”. Here’s why this hit me hard. Yesterday my post was about learning how to practice what preach. I talked about the situation at my job that showed me a side of myself I did not like. The situation challenged me to be a right example of what I believe. I didn’t sleep well last night tossed and turned all night, unhappy because it was Monday. Then I read that verse in my devotions, and it made all the difference in my day. I woke up feeling discontent, but God told me to trust and so I did. It is not easy to trust, and I have to admit that I don’t always agree with the decisions that my bosses make. But I always agree with God. He has not made one bad decision yet. I was reminded today that He is intimately aware of my needs. He love me (even when I whine). I was blessed to have Him speak so clearly. My circumstances haven’t changed, but I trust that God has a plan that’s bigger than what I see.
