There are only 7 more days left in this year. I am blown away at all I have learned and all that God has done with me, and in me during the past year. I am amazed by His grace and His attention to the smallest of details. What I have learned during this journey is that thankfulness is a choice. I have the ability to give thanks even when the situations and circumstances are hard and unpleasant. God’s power isn’t dependent on what I am facing, He is always able to give me the strength I need to be thankful. Another lesson this journey has thought me is this: Choosing thankfulness over anger and discontentment, will inevitably change my perspective for the better. These 358 days have been a complete 180 from the previous years, my attitude and perspective have lead me down roads that I otherwise may not have traveled. I am grateful for this journey, both the good and the bad.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8).

So what am I thankful for today? A more godly perspective.

  1. Amazing isn’t it, the power of thankfulness. I see this picture of a room with a door to a secret passage way … if we look for it we can always find the doorway of thankfulness to open to lead us into the bounty of our Heavenly Father. We just have to make the choice to look and walk through when we find it. Blessings to you and your family this Christmas day!
