Revelation 10. ” So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, ‘Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’  I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. Then I was told, ‘You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings'(Verses 9-11). I am not a bible scholar by any means, I read my Bible, I love God, and I endeavor to live obediently. So I don’t feel bad in saying I am not a 100% sure what these verses mean in the literal sense. But here’s what I took away. God’s word can be sweet going down (when it’s what we want to hear), but when it starts to deal with our sin it can become sour to us. Why? Because it goes against what we want to do (in our flesh). Truth is known to do that. Cause discomfort.
