I don’t know about where everyone else lives, but I live in South Florida and right now it is C. O. L. D. The funny thing is we complain about the “hot” down here all year long, but when that one moment of cold comes we start wondering when it will be hot again. We humans are so funny. Today as I was bundled up in winter gear, complaining about the cold weather that I had been begging God for, for most of the year. This thought came across my spirit, “What ever the situation, be content.” I think contentment is one of the things we (humans) struggle with the most. Why? Because we are always wanting something, needing something…MORE. One of my main struggles in years past was the desire of wanting God to bless me. Last year as I was learning thankfulness, I had an encounter with God that reminded of this truth: How can He bless me with more, if I can’t be content with what I already have? Today was colder than normal for S. Florida, but this morning the air was crisp. It smelled fresh outside, and I don’t know why, but people seemed nicer. Sometimes things stay the same for a while, sometimes they change in an instant. Whatever the case is for you, find contentment in your situation and God will meet you there.
“But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment” (1 Timothy 6:6).
So what’s my plan of attack? Godly contentment.

That’s so true. We always are wishing for more when we should be thankful for what we have. Where I live it’s actually spring like weather compared to these cold cities.
Spring like weather. Awesome.
I was blessed by this post. I liked this: “… I had an encounter with God that reminded of this truth: How can He bless me with more, if I can’t be content with what I already have? …” You always have something worth hearing, something worth reading. Later. T
Thank you that’s a nice compliment.
