Genesis 15. “Then the word of the Lord came to him: ‘This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.’ He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.’ Then He said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness” (Verses 4-6). Here’s the heart of the matter, Abram BELIEVED God. For me this is the struggle, I WANT to believe God, but there are days when my heart and my mind are in direct conflict with each other. One says, “Trust God” and the other say, “You can handle this.” What I love about this portion of scripture is this, Abram comes to God with his doubts, and God simply says, “I’ll do what I promised.” That was all it took for Abram to believe. I want to trust INSTANTLY, like Abram.
