Genesis 19. “Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. One day the older daughter said to the younger, ‘Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth. Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father” (Verses 30-32). Don’t think that your life choices will not have an effect on the generation to follow. Read this entire chapter. Lot made bad life choices. He choose the land based on looks (he followed his sight). First he lived outside the city, then beside the city, then he was an elder at the gate (that’s where he encountered the angels). One word SIN, it crept in. Forget crept he let it in. His daughter’s didn’t learn that God would provide. They knew only what they saw their parents do; which was follow the flesh. How we live is what those around us see. We may want to pretend that it is not true, but someone is looking to us (you and I) as an example of what to do. Here’s an honest question: If someone decided to follow your example would it lead them to God, or to the world?
