I have hidden Thy word in my heart.

Exodus 1. “Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them” (Verses 20 – 21). Fear is such a misused word. In today’s society it has a negative connotation. We use it as a means by which we gain power over another. By making them afraid. The midwives “feared” God, they were not afraid of Him. On the contrary they loved and respected Him. Thus they were obedient. God blessed their “fear” and provided them households. He blessed them with family. Fear is not meant to leave us afraid.  Fear is meant teach us respect. It is meant to lead us to obedience and blessings.
