Exodus 15. “Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test. He said, ‘If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all His decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you'” (Verses 25-26). What a concept, if we do what God says, He’ll bless us. Makes sense, doesn’t it? It is also very true. Why? God doesn’t lie. There has not been a time in my life where obedience did not lead to blessing, protection, or answer to prayers. Then why is it so hard to obey? Of course the answer to that question is SIN. Ironically the cure for that is obedience. It is easier to let go of our sin nature if we are obedient to God. Because obedience leads to us wanting to please God instead of our flesh. Feel like your life is in a downward cycle? There’s a cure. Follow God’s words, do what He has commanded. He promises healing.
