I have hidden Thy word in my heart.

Leviticus 8. “Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, his sons, and the garments of his sons with him” (Verse 30). I realized something after reading this chapter. The consequence for sin is dirty. Moses was required to slay an innocent animal, one who had not committed any sin, any offense. The picture in my head as I read the verses in this chapter were graphic and nauseating. I think we take for granted the price that had to be paid for our sins. Someone had to die, someone innocent of crime. Grace is a free gift, but Christ paid a high price to give it to us. Don’t take it for granted.
