Leviticus 17. “I will set my face against any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who eats blood, and I will cut them off from the people. For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” (Verses 10-11). Did you see it? Life is in the blood. Are you thinking, “well duh” just about now? You miss my point, the BLOOD holds LIFE. Therefore, the blood GIVES life. It was the blood of the animal that covered the sins of the people. It IS the blood of Christ that give us life. We have access to relationship with God, through the life that we have in Christ.

  1. Great thoughts, for all begins and ends in the blood, as we are such that we seem to get tied up in the looking, and searching for the “blood.” Is it any wonder that Christ had to shed the last drop of blood for the atonement of sins for God’s people, and the BLOOD holds LIFE.

    • “Unless you eat of my body and drink of my blood you will have no life in me” and many of His followers left Him. He ask His Apostles, “will you leave me too.” Yet Christ did not change what he said. Other times he explained to make things clear, but this was clear, and became very clear at the Last Supper, as He took the bread and blessed, it, “this is My Body, and the Wine, this is My Blood,” take this and do this in memory of me. This is what gives life to us, changes our body, our blood, our very nature, from sinful to give life once again. We believe that God, sent His Son, from outside of time, to be born of a virgin, a miracle, yet we somehow have difficulty believing that God cannot continue this miracle everyday on the altar in His Church, to change our nature to the peace that passes all understanding, the pearl of great price, a miracle everyday all over the world, Christ is with us, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Bread, changed to His Body, Sacred, protected in a Tabernacle, Wine changed into His Blood, to give life to His people, “unless you eat of My Body, drink of My Blood, you will have no life in you. I will leave it to you to look it up in scripture. May God Bless you.

      • Great scripture. Thanks. It is amazing how we can belive the BIG things and forget that He will take care of the small things as well. Thank you for sharing.

  2. just thinking about you, and you are in my heart in prayer. It is so true how we can believe in the big things, yet in the small, most especially in the small, they seem to slip by our hearts without us paying the least attention to them. It takes attention to hear the ‘still small voice of Christ’ which is speaking all the time in our hearts. Yet, it is hard to us to just stop and listen in a world filled with noise and distractions. God is always calling to our hearts to ‘be still and know that I am God! May He bless you this day

    • Thank you! And I pray the same prayer for you as well. My hope is that we don’t miss anything God has for us, even the smallest most minute of things. Often times it is those tiny things that yields the biggest blessings and teaches us the biggest lessons. Feel free to post prayer request to me, I will be happy to pray with and for you. God bless you and may you continue to grow in Christ.
