Numbers 26. “All the male Levites a month old or more numbered 23,000. They were not countedalong with the other Israelites because they received no inheritance among them. These are the ones counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho. Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun” (Verses 62-65). God does NOT lie. The Israelites, the ones that prayed to God for freedom, are the very same people who warred, quarreled, and disobeyed, after He answered their prayers in a mighty way. To those (the originals), He made a vow, “You will NOT enter into the promise”. In verse 65 we see that God was true to His word, NOT one of them was left. Here is a truth God has promised He will judge and punish sin, and He always keeps His promises. It is our presumptuousness, that leads us to believe that the Bible is just a story book. But I have a question, what if (those of you who don’t believe in its authenticity) EVERY word is TRUE? What then? Everything God has promised, He has done. He cursed those He said He would curse. He blessed those He said He would bless. Which side of the fence do you want to be on if it is not JUST a story? The choice is yours. God has gifted everyone of us free will. My advice use it to seek Him. If you seek you will find… another one of God’s promises.
