2 Kings 6. “So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, ‘Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.’ And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha” (Verses 16-18). Hands down one of my most favorite portions of scripture. When God opened the servants eyes so he could see the army of God surrounding them. I love this scripture, because the we don’t see the spiritual, but it exists. God is always protecting us, He is always with us. Even when life is hard, even when we face certain death. God presences doesn’t mean bad won’t come, it simply means He goes through it with us. But then there are those days when it means He will not allow harm, and we like Elisha’s servant get to be slack-jawed and awed by the awesome power of God. So today no matter the circumstance trust that God is there walking through it with us.
