Revelation 11. “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign” (Verse 17). Just a reminder, in case your world gets so busy you forget. The Lord is Almighty God, He reigns and has rule over all things, We (who trust) have access to Him 24/7. When the day gets out of hand, and the storms blow hard. We have a shelter in the Almighty. Run to it.

DAY 227

The path is made clear by the Master's Son.

The path is made clear by the Master’s Son.

I think by now you have ascertained that I really like Korean dramas. It is a fun way to learn the language and they are really enjoyable to watch. I however am not one for ghost stories, I don’t like horror flicks, or gory movies. So I am a little surprised that one of my favorite dramas right now is 주군의 태양, the English title is Master’s Sun. The story revolves around our heroine, Tae Gong Sil, who after a near death experience wakes up to find that she can see dead people. This is unnerving to her because, well, she is afraid of ghosts (who isn’t). She lives her life as a recluse, but this does not keep her “caspers” away. One night she has a chance meeting with, Joo Joong Won, as she is trying to evade a not so friendly spirit. She runs into Joo Joong Won’s arms (whom she doesn’t know), and clings to him tightly. Discovering the most amazing thing…touching him (any physical contact at all), makes the spirits disappear. He is her SHELTER. I find the premise of the show very interesting. Why? Because we all need shelter. We all have our “ghosts” that haunt us. Like Gong Sil, we need a Joong Won, to make them disappear. The thing is, we already have a Joong Won, we just (for the most part) refuse to cling to Him (ahhh, you see where I am going now, don’t ya 🙂 ). God is ready, willing, and able to be our shelter. He wants to protect us from our ghosts and keep us dry during our storms. We, like Gong Sil, need only to reach out and touch Him.

“But You are a tower of refuge to the poor, O LORD, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall” (Isaiah 25:4).

So what am I thankful for today? SHELTER…
