I have a boot on my foot (not the fashionable kind, the surgical kind). I have something that ends in a “moid”, or so says my podiatrist. My day started out bootless, but now I sit here, foot in the air, unable to wear my fashionable foot wear for the next week. Life can be unexpected. It does not come with a map of how things will turn out. However, it does come with a manual on how to handle the unexpected (come on you had to have seen that coming 😉 ). The boot was not the only unexpected thing that happened to me, it felt like the entire day was an Abbott and Costello comedy routine. But God, reminded me that He has a plan and a purpose for everything. My foot that had been hurting for a few weeks, is now on it’s way to healing (because of a certain boot). I was able to encourage the gentleman that did my echo (another unexpected treat) by letting him know I would add him to my prayer list. Even if your day is comedic in nature as long as you let God be your guide, you’ll get the last laugh.
“‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts'” (Isaiah 55:8-9).
So what’s my plan of attack? Expected the unexpected and let God guide me through it all.
