1 Corinthians 4. ” For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” (Verses 7). We forget, we didn’t create ourselves. None of the gifts and talents we possess are things that we gave ourselves. All our talents come from the one that created us. So then why are we so prideful, as though we have done it all on our own? Remember this one truth, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” (James 1:17). Nothing we have is something we made, it has all been gifted to us. It was bought with a price. Live in humility.
