2 Peter 1. “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind,forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins” (Verses 5-9).The Christian walk can be likened to building a house. You start with a foundation, in this case Faith, then you build upon the foundation. To faith we add goodness, to goodness we add knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control we add perseverance. To perseverance we add godliness, to godliness we add mutual affection, and to mutual affection we add LOVE. Notice it starts with FAITH and it ends in LOVE. Our goal then should be to build upon our  faith till our knowledge of God is expressed through our unconditional love.
