2 Peter 2. “But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping” (Verses 1-3). Beware. Lately I have been hearing lots of things that sound like the truth, but when put up against God’s word it does not stand up as truth. There are those out there who will twist God’s word for their own gain. Be wise, test what you hear against what God has said. Don’t follow what tantalizes, look for and follow what is true.

Thanks for the inspiration! Let us pray for truth, learn the unchanging message of the entire Bible and follow through as the obedient children we are meant to be. HalleluYah!
Amen! Yes let’s pray for truth and that we learn to recognize it.
I have heard people actually using the Bible to do wrong!
I have too. It makes me sad that we don’t respect God or His words.
