3 John 1. “Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth” (Verses 5-8). Love means that we assist in the call. The call to send others to go and spread the love that Christ brought to the world. I have been noticing that as a people we are getting more and more stingy with our money, with our time, with anything that requires us to give what is ours (I am not excluded from this). Lately God has been showing me that, that is NOT what His church is meant to do. We are meant to express Christ and His grace and love, we CANNOT do this by acting like the world. It is time for the church to stand and do what she is meant to do, only then will we be a true example of God.
