Genesis 5. “After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth” (Verse 32). Wondering why out of all the verses in this Chapter, I chose this one? We often put such emphasis on age, I can’t cause I am too young. I can’t because I am too old. Noah became a father at 500. When the flood happened his sons were married. Still think God can’t use you because of age? Don’t find an excuse not to serve, if God has called you He will give you the strength needed to complete the task well, no matter what your age. On a side note this Chapter is all genealogy, which I use to find boring until a pastor, Gail Erwin (I think), came and did a study at our church about the meaning of the names. His study made me realize God has a reason for everything. Look up the meaning of the names for yourself (a little homework never killed anyone).

Great post. It’s so true what you said, it doesn’t matter your age, too many use that as an excuse not to do things. Thanks for sharing.
I have never verbally used it as an excuse, but I can honestly say there have been days when my heart thought it. But God, stepped in an reminded me. He provides where He guides. Have fearless faith. Thanks for the comment.
This was great! I hear this so often in the mission field I then remind them that I have MS and still do this because Jesus does not want people who are just lukewarm for him. 😊
Wow. God bless you and continue to use you. I hope you continue to be a shining example of God’s strength to all who encounter you. Blessings 🙂
