Has some one ever had your number? Knew exactly what you were about? What your fears were and how easily you succumb to them? Today all day long, God had my number. One issue after another was tackled till I had a moment of realization: I AM AFRAID TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT. Not following me? Allow me to clarify. Here’s the reference for the lesson, Matthew 14:28-32. Cliff notes version, the disciples realize it is not a ghost on the water, but Jesus. Peter in a moment of faith says, “Lord, if it is You. Tell me to come to You on the water”. Jesus says, “Come”. What does Peter do? He gets out off the boat. What happens next? He walks on water. What happens after that? He takes his eyes off of Christ, and sinks. When we read the story we translate it like this…Peter steps out of the boat and sinks. We forget the moment he walked, but we remember that he sank. Here’s what God showed me: (this is an excerpt from my journal) What is my response when Christ says, “Come”? Do I go? Do I question? Do I stay and make excuses? Where is my faith? Do I believe? Peter may have sunk. But when God said, “Come”. He walked on water. He went. He didn’t question, nor make excuses. He knew exactly where his faith lived. He believed. That was his response. At that moment I realized I was still in the boat. God is on the water bidding me to come. I am sitting in the boat, telling Him how much I love Him and how much I trust him, but making no effort to move. If I want to gain what He has for me, it’s time to abandon ship.
“Then Peter called to him, ‘Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water’. And He said, ‘Come'” (Matthew 14:28-29).
So what’s my plan of attack? Abandon ship.

When we decide to come is that letting go of fear to do something?
Go! And He will give you wings like eagles!😊👏😇
🙁 that’s my plan
I meant 🙂
