Genesis 30. “When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, ‘Give me children, or I’ll die!’Jacob became angry with her and said, ‘Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?'” (Verses 1-2). Is it wrong that I find these verses funny? Only because I can picture the scene. Wait. Forget picture, I have lived this scene (saying different words). “Give me (insert your want here)!!! Or I will DIE!!!!” Oh the dramatics of it all. But here’s a truth we do that to God ALL THE TIME  (in fact I am doing it right now), throw a tantrum when we don’t get what we want, in the way and time we want it. I am thankful the bible is filled with “real” people, who faced then what we face now. God answered Rachel’s prayer in His way and His time. He blessed her with Joseph, who went on to save the entire nation during a time of famine. We are not God, we don’t see the WHOLE picture. If we did, we’d trust Him without question. I say even though we can’t see the whole picture, trust Him without question anyway.
