What do you do when it feels like your life is “opposite day”? Lately I have been feeling like that, all my plans and hopes have gone in the opposite direction of what I had desired. In the beginning I was baffled, and I have to be honest I was starting to think, maybe God wasn’t on my side. I see Him doing great things for other people, blessing other people, but all my prayers seemed to have gotten a “No”, answer. This morning has been no different. I had two plans both of which were knocked down (almost at the same time 🙁 ). So for most of the morning I have been feeling like maybe, just maybe God is mad at me. In my questioning, He brought me to this scripture Romans 8: 31-32, and He reminded me that if God is for me, no one can be against me. And if He didn’t spare His Son, He won’t spare anything else. He has a plan (clearly it is NOT the same as mine). Yes, I am disappointed. Yes, I still have a little bit of fear (I am not sure what the next step is). Do I trust God less? NO! I realized now that when I prayed, “God teach me to trust You not matter what.” The only way to learn was to TRUST NO MATTER WHAT. God’s got jokes for sure 🙂 .
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32).
So what’s my plan of attack? If I say I am going to trust God, then, TRUST God.
