DAY 102 (2014)

What words are you using?

What words are you using?

I have a new plan, which I will be implementing immediately. Everytime something happens that leaves me with the desire to say something negative, I am going to say something praiseworthy instead. It all came about this morning as I was driving my mom to H&R Block to get her taxes done. On the drive someone pulled out in front of the car in front of me, causing the driver in front of me to swerve in order to avoid collision. My mom busted out with a few words that were less than friendly (uhmm, I was thinking the same thing though). I said to her, “We should stop doing that.” “What?” “See everything from a negative perspective.” So we made a plan for the remainder of the drive anytime we wanted to make a negative comment we would say something praiseworthy instead. What ensued was nothing short of humorous. At one point my mom said something like, “dam…d-dear Lord please protect them and keep them from getting into an accident.” Ha! (That’s not what she was gonna say originally). So I am doling out a challenge to those of you who read my blog. For the next 24 hours, instead of negative comments let’s use praise worthy comments. It will definitely bring about some humorous moments, and you will be surprised at how it changes your view when you see good and not evil.

” A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare” (Proverbs 15:1).

So what’s my plan of attack? Praiseworthy instead of negative.
